Chef Morgan Heneghan
Chef Morgan Heneghan’s culinary journey began at family gatherings, cooking alongside his mother and grandmother. What started as an early fascination with food became a calling after his mother encouraged him to explore culinary school at AB-Tech. There, he discovered that the kitchen brought together many of the things he loved: working with his hands, being part of a team, and creating something that could bring immediate joy to others.
A lifelong athlete with a competitive spirit, Chef Morgan approached cooking with the same drive, seeking out accomplished chefs and demanding kitchens where he could continually refine his craft. He went on to complete the prestigious Greenbrier Apprenticeship Program with honors, earning multiple professional American Culinary Federation medals along the way.
His career has since taken him through distinguished private clubs across the country. At Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia, he led the fine dining restaurant for several seasons before joining the banquet team and was selected to compete in the 2019 Chef of the Year competition. He later served as Executive Sous Chef at Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston, where he earned his Certified Executive Chef (CEC) designation from the American Culinary Federation. Along the way, he refined his craft under accomplished culinary leaders, including Chef Olivier Burgos, a Maître Cuisinier de France with extensive Michelin-starred restaurant experience, and Chef Laurent Pillard, whose career includes the Michelin-starred Fleur de Lys in Las Vegas.
In 2026, Chef Morgan was named to Club + Resort Chef's 40 Under 40 class, recognizing emerging culinary talent within the club and resort industry.
Through every chapter, he has remained drawn to what first captivated him about cooking: food’s ability to bring people together. For him, a memorable meal is about more than what is on the plate—it is an opportunity to create connection, celebrate the people around the table, and leave them with memories that last well beyond the final course.
